What is a virtual number? A real phone number you use for a few minutes to receive one SMS code, for example when an app asks to verify your account. It isn't yours to keep and may be given to someone else afterwards.
Do I pay if no code comes? No. The price is only held while the order runs. If no code arrives in 20 minutes, the hold is lifted automatically, and you can cancel sooner after a two-minute wait.
Which apps work? 33 apps right now, including WhatsApp, Telegram and Google. Other apps decide for themselves whether to accept a number, so a code isn't guaranteed. That's why you only pay when one arrives.
Can I use it for my bank? No. We block banks, payment apps and government services, because verifying them with a temporary number puts people at risk.
How do I add money? By card or bank transfer through Paystack or Flutterwave, or in crypto through NOWPayments, from ₦1,000. Your wallet is in naira.
Should I use a number for two-step login? No. Numbers are temporary. Use your own phone for anything you need to get back into later.
Will an eSIM work on my phone? Only if your phone supports eSIM and isn't locked to one network. Each eSIM lists its countries, data and validity before you buy.
Is there an API? Yes. Create a key in your account and buy numbers from your own app or shop, at the same prices and with the same refunds. See the API docs.
Can I keep a number for longer? Long-term rentals are being prepared for the USA, UK and Canada. Choose 7, 14 or 30 days on the products page and ask to be notified when your preferred option opens.
Can I buy airtime, data or electricity? Yes. Airtime and data support the major Nigerian networks, while electricity payments validate supported prepaid or postpaid meters before checkout. Availability is shown on the products page.
