Getting started
The sport is all about matching gems in direct lines of three or more. Match some gems and they’ll turn into troops. These troops will then march up the display and hit any monsters that they come in contact with.

That’s an important point to consider though. Should you match a set of gems on one side of the display, they are not going to ramble over to another. Troops constantly walk straight up from where they are matched.

That doesn’t mean that matching gems which aren’t going to score you a hit is a waste of time however. Match a few green gems, as an instance, and they’ll add some mana to some green personality that you’ve got in your military.

Character colours
Various monsters have various colours. You can use this to determine what you have to be hitting them with. Check out the wheel in the upper left corner of the display to learn which color stones are most powerful against which color characters.

Occasionally you’e not going to be able to move the board around to utilize the most effective colours, but bear in mind that it’s always much better to utilize any color rather than the one which is weakest against the opponent that you are fighting.

It is best to have as mixed a set of personalities as possible, because that’s going to set you in good stead whatever you come up against. However, it is possible to see exactly what you are going to be battling before you set out on a level, so in the event that you’ve got plenty of powerful characters it is possible to tailor your own army.
